About Us
Sugar Creek Farm started in 2002 out of our desire to raise beef the old-fashioned way. Pasture grazing, high-quality hay, and just the right amount of corn. No added growth hormones or antibiotic feed supplements. No pushing our animals to finish faster. Letting nature take its course, in its own time. Sure it costs more to raise beef this way. But the result? A premium, natural beef thats tender, flavorful and nutritious.
As we talked with folks about what we were doing, we found out there are lots of you who are concerned about what youre eating, too. With our love of farming it didnt take much to convince us to expand our little herd and offer our premium natural beef to others who want to feel good about the meat theyre feeding their family.
Since then weve added heritage pork, pasture-raised broiler chickens and a flock of free-range laying hens to the farm.
Our animals get to do the things that make animals happy graze, root and wallow, or scratch the ground for bugs. We think youll immediately see the difference between our farm-fresh meats and grocery store shelf meats. Tender, juicy steaks. Chicken packed with flavor and a firm texture. Eggs with rich golden yolks. And the bacon. The bacon is so good youre going to want to grow tomatoes just to go with it.
And the best part is knowing where your food came from, how it was raised, and keeping your food dollars local.
