We have quality, open-range grass fed and finished animals. All of our cattle are raised, grazed and finished on native grass pastures. Our animals are given free choice alfalfa hay as well. Here, at Prairie Opal Ranch, our vision and goals include long-term sustainability, slow growth and limiting our carbon footprint coupled with humane treatment of all farm animals. Our belief when raising our cattle, is that the better the life of the animal, the better the meat they provide. At Prairie Opal Ranch, we pride ourselves in providing only the best meat from Colorado. Our beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender thanks to the unique Longhorn breed.
